NA participates in the value chain from the stages of planting to the final stage of packaging by providing well-groomed seedlings to farmers, educating them on how to pant and care for the crop, proper harvesting practices, construction of driers at different collection points, proper bagging and transportation, proper storage, proper drying with the use of moisture-meters, transportation, and proper packaging and storage.
The coffee husks are used to improve on the agriculture practices as mulching materials in the coffee farms. When they are decomposed are used as manure. Our practice is that a farmer who brings coffee returns home with and equal amount of husks used to boost soil quality and boost yields for the subsequent season or harvest.
We also encourage farmers to enter crop fruit tress such as avocados and jack fruit which act as wind breaks and also contribute to the aspect of environmental conservation.
